WORLD-CLASS KITING MIXED WITH ADVENTURE
Since 2005, Zephyr Tours has been taking people to amazing remote kiting destinations in Australia’s backyard, and our Far North Queensland Offshore Adventure is no exception.
At Zephyr Tours, we are always looking to find the perfect kite destinations; on this tour, we’ve done just that! Basing ourselves in the Daintree Rainforest at Cape Tribulation, we’ll visit the breathtaking offshore coral cays in style with our private charters. Imagine dreamy white sands and perfect, untouched sandbars offering smooth, pristine water. Did we hear you say kite heaven? We also happen to be smack bang in the middle of some amazing trade winds, expecting 15-25 knots daily; need we say more? Linking up with Windswell, this small-group tour is perfect for the special few who want to get into some epic kiting and be the first to experience this amazing new Zephyr Tour, which we hope to build on for years to come.
WHERE THE OCEAN MEETS THE RAINFOREST
Staying at a stunning resort in the heart of the world’s oldest rainforest in Cape Tribulation, our all-inclusive package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and, as with all Zephyr Tours, everything is taken care of. All you need to do is strap in and enjoy the ride!
Each day, we will take you by private charter to explore the beautiful outer reef, which is just a short boat trip off the mainland. We will set up our base for the day on one of the remote coral cays, which are tiny, pristine, powder-soft, white-sand islands that poke out from the Coral Sea. Fringed by stunning reef systems with clear turquoise waters, you’ll be blown away when you visit this area, which sits just off the Cape Tribulation National Park. Below the water’s surface, you’ll find abundant marine life, including turtles, starfish and giant clam gardens. When the tides are right, the reef reveals its secret kitesurfing spots, which are the best Far North Queensland offers.
The coral cays get the full force of the winter trade winds, which start in March and run through September, blowing an average of 20 knots daily. With consistent temperatures of 26 degrees both in and out of the water, far North Queensland offers the perfect winter escape with guaranteed winds.
Our experienced team will be on hand to offer coaching and support, making sure you get the most enjoyment while you progress with your kiting. We’ve secured all the toys and trimmings to set up base on remote sandbars while you kick back between sessions and relax under the shade. If you’ve still got any energy to burn, we’ll have all the best gear for you to enjoy snorkelling, fishing, spearing, foiling, wakeboarding and more! But let’s face it, guys, I’ll be super impressed if you have any energy left, as we will be shredding as much as we can!
